I have had a request to make a chocolate cake with banana and strawberry filling, I looked in the recipes and found some recipes but was wondering if someone had other ideas. They wanted to have chocolate cake with strawberry filling, another chocolate cake layer, then banana filling... only frozen strawberries available right now, could get fresh bananas, any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks!

Have you ever used the sleeves of filling that you can find at cake decorating supply stores? I'm pretty sure they have a strawberry.

Or you could use strawberry jam (I like Polaner all fruit because it doesn't have seeds) and use it either plain or mixed with BC.

There is a great recipe on this site for a raspberry filling with cream cheese, polander preserves and whipped cream....you could substitute the strawberry for the raspberry. It's also very good, is this the same that you use becky?

Bavarian cream and sliced bananas make a very good banana filling. Layer the Bavarian cream on the cake, then slice/dice a few bananas. YUMMO!

For a last minute strawberry filling I'll get strawberry glaze from the fruit/vegetable department at the grocery store and mix a few thawed strawberries for texture.
