Pink Champagne Cake

I am wanting to make the pink champagne cake recipe that is listed here on CC with the coconut filling. The recipe calls for a fondant frosting. I am planning to use buttercream instead. What flavor would I use in the buttercream that wouldn't compete with the taste of the cake and filling?
