Just curious if anyone has ever made one of those boxed pound cake mixes in a regular pan instead of the called for "loaf pan"?

If so, which size regular pan did you use?

Thanks!!

Yes, I did....two 9 inch pans....I used the 'Krusteaz' brand and it tasted terrible compared to scratch...of course, I have only had scratch country pound cake. It was the first box pound cake I had ever tried...i bought 2 of them on sale and the other one is still in my cupboard. If and when I make it, I'll probably add a buncha stuff to help the tasteicon_wink.gif
Which brand do you have? Have ya tried it before and is it good???

I've used the Betty Crocker brand for years and just got to wondering instead of the loaf pan, I wondered if it would work in a 3" deep pan (or 2 as you have done).
The taste of this cake is very nice and it always comes out great. I don't believe anything is as good as scratch, but it's pretty close and convenient!

(looking for petit four filler as well as solid cake for stacking)
