I have had a terrible time I make fondant and was wondering. If I make RBC and let it sit out will it eventually dry hard or somewhat hard? I need to make a few decorations for a cake next month and I was thinking about using RBC only if it will dry hard or somewhat hard. Thanks Megan

I use RBC often and even if you stiffen it up with more powdered sugar, I'm afraid it still stays soft! IMO it wouldn't be a good medium for modeling. I think I've heard others have added fondant to it and it worked great....may give you what you're looking for!

RBC is so hard to handle if you're trying to keep it in a particulzr shape. It's really floppy. When I put it on cookies, I put it in the freezer - still on the same waxed paper it was cut out on. Once it's frozen, it can be moved without bending out of shape. If your design lends itself to that kind of handling, it might work out OK for you.
