I have baked cakes for many years but I am very new to decorating, and would like to try fbct. I get how to do the transfer, but how or what do you do to make the picture look so smooth? Is there a certain type of tip? I know this sounds real silly, but I am just trying to "get the hang" of it all! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much in advance!

Welcome to Cake Central. when you invert the transfer on to the cake surface, the smooth side will be up and visible.

Here's a link to a great "how to" article on FBCTs. I use these instructions and it works every time. They are easier than it seems - just try it with a simple picture the first time so that you get the feel of it.
