the first one i did was looking squishy and a little cracked..any ideas? id like to try it again.
also any patterns on the shoes that have sides?
Sounds like your gumpaste is too dry, use a little shortening to keep it from drying out when you're working with it.
Also, if your gumpaste is taking too long to dry, the heel will get wrinkled, so sometimes making it ahead and letting it dry before you assemble the whole shoe will help.
