I ask because Myfamily and I are thinking about getting a new dog. A friend of my Mom's needs to get move one of their dogs and if we don't take it it will go to the pound. I hate the idea of a dog going to the pound. They said we could try it out and if it doesn't work we could take it back. My husband said it is fine, I am nervous about it. We have one dog and I just got used to that. I don't know what to do? Any suggestions? ![]()
I have a 7 yr old cocker spaniel and a few weeks ago we adopted a 3 month old great periense mix. My cocker is partially blind so she is fine until she doesn't see the puppy and the puppy pounces on her - LOL other than that its giving the cocker some company
We have two!!! We got a Yorkie when we got married - he's our oldest child
. Then we had a daughter, then when we were pregnant with our second child (third if you count the Yorkie), we adopted a beagle from a shelter. It was an adjustment for all of us. It took me more than a year to really like her, but now I can't imagine our family without her. She had some issues since she was from a shelter, but I don't blame her. She is the most loyal, loving dog now. Our Yokie got used to her (and these are very smart, picky dogs) and now they wrestle and explore together. If you have room, and love for another dog, you would be doing a wonderful thing to give that dog a home. Expect transitions and adjustment time - it's usually not perfect right away, but if I had given up on the beagle right away, I would be missing out on a very special friend.
we had one dog for a couple of years, a golden retriever mix. then when we came to italy we got another one. he's part chihuahua and papillon. he's sooo cute. his name is mr. winkles. i wish i could upload a picture, but i don't know how to reduce them.
We decided to get the dog! We have a lab and the new dog is a full size dog, too. So far it has been okay, there are a lot of transitons to make, because our new dogs came from a different family, different rules. They both are indoor outdoor. I am getting used to it I think. Oh well, we took him I have to get used to it. The biggest problem is that we don't know a lot about this dog. We have no idea what kind of dog he is, other than mut!
2 beagles here....
here's a pic
they can be very anxious.... and these two dont bark as much as most beagles I've seen do but they do..... and these two wont lay down.... we love them though.... but then I have my newer babies 2 fischer lovebirds!

I dont think you will be sorry..... dogs are great....
I have 2 parti-colored Pomeranians. It was a little easier for me to have the 2 of them because I got them at the same time. They are brother and sister. They are truly mine and my hubby's children. They are very very spoiled and demanding. They like to be held to go to sleep. The male pom will throw his food dish around if he's hungry and it's empty. The female pom will look at you and whine until you pick her up and hold her so she can sleep. She'll also do it if she is ready to go to bed and you aren't coming. I just love them!!! ![]()
