Hello!,
I just needed to vent some of the uncomfortable feelings I'm having since last week. Ok, last week I took my Mom to her Cardiologist for follow up. She thought my Mom had the surgery she was suppose to have months ago, so when we told her she didn't, the doctor got kind of upset. Because the Cardiologist keeps saying my mom really need this. So, she told us she was going to call them personally to make sure they give her the appointment to set up the date for surgery. That was On Wednesday last week, and they called us the next day (Thursday) to tell us her surgery was this Thursday (yesterday) which never happened, cause surgeon had an emergency. They said they were calling to let us know. We received the call today saying the surgery will be on Monday, so we need to be at the hospital at 6:30am.
My Mom is nervous and she was calling everybody to tell them she love them. Seeing her do that makes me feel sooo nervous. 
Her Cardiologist kept telling us (brothers, sister and I), that her heart is just 28 % functional right now; that's the reason why she feels so tire when moving around, so she needs a Pacemaker/Defibrillator and that's what they're going to do on Monday, so they said it's going to take some time (a few hours), so we need to be patient.
I don't know what to do or what to think not to have this feeling.

It is a very stressful situation, but everything will be ok. My BF's grandfather had one put in on Monday of this week and he was home withen a couple of days 
Also my cousin had a pacemaker put in at the age of 8 and she turns 16 this year no problem
My prayers are with you, just remember to take care of yourself first so you can take care of others

Hi Sory, God Bless YOU And Your Family, I can tell you only that I was in your mothers shoes a few years back,Iwas so very scared,you would not believe how scared I was! I know how she feels. I will pray for her and for you too.

Try to stay strong for your mom. I will keep both you and your mom in my prayers. What time does her surgery begin on Monday?
I know surgery is scary! Just remember that this is a very routine procedure for a heart surgeon. Hang in there and keep us posted.

She will be in good hands!!!!! Cardiologists are the best, they saved my son's life!!!!! Your mother will be fine! She has the love and support of all her family and friends and you have the support of yours and us here!!!

Sory, I will continue to keep your family in my prayers. When the anxiety is rough on Monday, try to clear your mind and think of all the people around the WORLD who will see this post and be thinking and praying for her. It is truly amazing what the power of prayer can do. Remember, too that what is scary and out of the ordinary for us is another routine day at work for a cardiologist. They are extraordinary people!

Uhhh! Now I can start filling better. Everything went okay on Monday. My Mom is doing fine. She is in pain and having headaches, but doing good. She needs to keep her arm on a sling for a month. She came home on Tuesday night. If she follow the doctor's indications she'll be doing very good.
I appreciate all your support. We're very happy and hopefully things will get better for her. We (my brothers, sister & I) have to thank you all, for all the prayers you send this way for my Mom to be okay in that procedure.

My BF's Dad had surgery to place a pacemaker/defibulator over a year ago. He still gets tired from time to time when he does too much. But, he has been able to resume his day-to-day life, even returning to work! He too was told he had only a small % of his heart working!
I hope your Mom continues to do well, I'm so glad the surgery went well!
