My daughter is having a spa party and wants a cake to reflect that theme. Any ideas/photos would be appreciated!

How about a robe cake, towel or a massage table.

What about a 2-layer square cake? You could ice the sides to look like the sides of a spa, trim around the bottom with grass. The top trim could look like the top edge of the spa, ice the top of the cake with a light blue (kinda swirly), and put a thin layer of piping gel over the top to look like water. Could make bubbles and people out of fondant, or simply buy some little dolls (like Polly Pocket...) to push down into the top for the bathers!

Maybe I'm thinking of a different kind of spa?????

What kind of spa party? Are they doing their nails, make-up, or hair?

I saw some great cakes that looked like a make-up bag. I have also seen a great big lipstick in the gallery.....

If they are doing their hair you could do a "hair dont' cake with rounds and a girls face with curlers in her hair etc....
Just a thought

I love the idea of a makeup bag, with lots of high end cosmetics inside. Or you could do a Manolo box. It would be adorable.

I've done spa cakes before too! I did one as a simple sheet cake and also baked half an egg pan.
Before I put it on the sheet cake, I made a face out of the 1/2 egg, adding cake scraps for the nose, lips, and cheek bones. Then cover with skin tone fondant and smooth over features. Wrap the head part of her to look like a towel. Don't worry about it being perfect because you are going to add light green buttercream, sloppily, so it looks like a mask! Then add fondant "cucumbers" to the eyes. I also made little make-ups out of fondant (foundations, nail polish, lipsticks) and pretty little flowers all over.

Sorry I can't scan it in for you, having equipment issues (i.e. It's broken!)

Those are great ideas....she's having a party where they are going to have manicures/pedicures and make some spa products like sugar scrubs & bath salts.

What about a flip flop cake then? Maybe fluffs of cotton candy between the toes? You could make hand and/feet cookies to go with the cake!
