I'm on a diet and it's not happy time around here. Been good all week and now I'm craving a cupcake! How much damage could one cupcake do? Wish I had one right now. Of course I can't just make one cupcake, so I fear some real damage is about to be done soon!! Need to find that thing called will power! Has anyone seen it? icon_cry.gif

I hear you. February is the state employees food drive- We raise money for the Oregen Food Banks. There are food fundraisers all over this 5 story building. Even worse, at breaks they try to roll around a cart with rootbeer floats. Yesterday I had to walk past the bake sale on the way to a WW meeting. sheeesh.

Oh wendysue...I feel your pain!! I kind of got off track with my diet and just got started back on it after gaining back way too much weight. Cake, frosting, cake, frosting, cake, frosting is always on my mind!! tapedshut.gif I've been really good this week too and hopefully soon the craving will leave me!! I'm ready for Spring so that way I can be outside instead of stuck inside gobbling everything I see!! icon_razz.gif

Keep it up girl!! I know it's hard but it's worth it!!! Hugs, ~Denise

Yes it is hard! icon_cry.gif I'm sure I have unrealistic expectations, but I want to lose 20 lbs by the first of May. icon_rolleyes.gif Is that doable??? If I cut back to 1200 calories a day and workout three times a week? Seems like it should be, but a friend told me tonight to shoot for 6 lbs. That's nothing!

I need to fight these cravings. I also love frosting! Cake too! I've had way to much of both lately. I've been conquering part of my cravings by measuring out just one cup of skim milk and adding 1 tbs of chocolate olvaltine to it... in all this is only about 100 calories, so I can have this once a day and not mess up my diet. It's my chocolate fix!

Anyway, I'm feeling a little better now than before. Think I'll survive another day without the cupcake! icon_rolleyes.gif

I think 20 lbs by the beginning of may is doable. I lost 58 lbs in about 6 1/2 months maybe 7. Diet & exercise. You'll do great. One thing I did though was watch my diet for 6 days and had one "free" day. So if I wanted that cupcake I had it on my free day without feeling guilty. It worked, for me anyways.

I believe it is doable too wendysue. I lost off 65 pounds then later after keeping it off found out I was pregnant with my baby daughther icon_surprised.gif She is a year old now, and the excuse of "I just had a baby so hand me a piece of cake" is over. icon_lol.gif For myself I couldn't take a free day...because I know with myself one sweet treat would led to another sweet treat, then another. I did like you and drank the Carnation chocolate instant breakfast for a sweet treat...and I have a recipe that I use all the time for homemade sugar-free/fat-free vanilla pudding that is awesome! If you would like it let me know and I'll send it to you. I would chop up a banana and reduced fat graham crackers in it...YUMMY!!!

If you ever need to talk just drop me PM or mail me. icon_biggrin.gif Hugs, ~Denise

Sounds wonderful! Yes, I'd love the recipe! icon_lol.gif

The diet is getting easier. I have decided to allow myself one cheat a week. icon_rolleyes.gif Maybe a desert that would normally be off limits. Think I'll make Sunday the day to splurge a little! I've been doing great with the 1200 cal a day diet. I try to limit to 600 cal before 2:00 in the afternoon, since my most challenging time of the day is between 2:00 and 8:00 pm. That way I still have half my account (as I call it) left to spend. : ) icon_lol.gif

I'm optimistic about staying on this diet. I've started so many and gave up within a weeks time, but think I'm in the right mindset this time around to reach my goal no problem. The challenging part will be in keeping the weight off. Why does it have to be so hard?! icon_cry.gif

Thanks for the encouragement! thumbs_up.gif
