I just finished this cake for a lady and I think it is so awful! It is just what she asked for but I almost don't want to deliver it tommorow. I don't know if it is the colors since I don't like green? I don't like my writing either, it looks really sloppy! Please tell me I am overreacting and this cake isn't as bad as I think it is. It is 2:30 a.m. so maybe I just need to go to bed and look at it in the morning. I guess there is nothing I can do about it now but is there anything I could have done differently to make this better?

Okay I am tired. I forgot to attach the picture! icon_cry.gif

I think it looks great! Your writing is lovely! The border around the writing is perfect! What color are the roses? They look awesome! I think you are just tired....and your worse critic!

Oh my...I hate to be the one to tell you this...Birthday was mispelled. The cake isn't ugly at all! I'd pay for this cake icon_smile.gif

I think the cake looks nice and neat. I actually love the writings.

However, the 'birthday' do miss a "T" though.. maybe you can slip one in between "R" and "H"?

Get some rest!

The only thing I see wrong with the cake is the misspelling of 'birthday'. Other than that, I think it looks fine.

I agree with everyone else, it is beautiful. You just need to fix the spelling on BIRTHDAY.

Yep, a typo with the birthday (I've done that before now too lol!), but your writing is really cute - I wish mine looked as good!

I don't mind the green, but in my pc, the roses look brown, are they? if is what she wanted then it's ok. It's a well made cake. Looks professional. fix the typo.
Not all the cakes you make are going to be yor favorite, I always see something I could do better next time with mines.

I agree with everyone above. The color is fine, but I love green!!! And as far as the misspelled birthday, I'm sure there are many, many of us who have done that. Atleast it wasn't one of the names you misspelled! Been there, done that icon_redface.gif K'ly

You are being WAY too hard on yourself!!! I agree with others - I didn't even notice at first that birthday was misspelled because I liked the writing so much! If green's not your color, no wonder you don't like it, since this cake has more green that a banker with a fist full of 100's! And I must say - pregnant with child 7? WOW - you are a saint - I only have animals, and I struggle to get cakes done - you're amazing! I'm sure your customer will be THRILLED - you gave her exactly what she asked for, and it's gorgeous! Don't be so hard on yourself (okay, good advice, not always the easiest to follow!)

Oh my gosh. I didn't even notice the mispelling! Thanks for pointing it out. I guess that is what I get for doing a cake at 2 in the morning. I think it was the colors that were really getting to me. She said she wanted chocolate roses so they are brown. I was thinking if going with a nice blue but then she said since it was so close to St. Patrick's day that she wanted green. Yuck! Oh well! I guess I don't have to like ever cake I do. Thanks everyone for your nice comments!
