The cookies I just made look nice but have gone a bit soggy under the icing. Baked the cookies and cooled them last night, and they were crispy but after icing they have softened. How do I keep them crisp? Do I have to put them back in the oven to dry the icing out quicker before the moisture soaks into the cookie? Please help! icon_confused.gif

I had the same problem when the humidity is high. Don't know if it is possible because I don't have one but could you put the cookies into a dehydrater for a little while? If you have one maybe you could test it out with one cookie.

Is the icing too liquidy? I mean as opposed to a royal icing that will harden?

I think that it might be normal because of the icing. Of course it can be worse with the humidity like BarbarK mentioned. And I guess it also depends on how long the cookies were baked.
