Freeze???

Hello all! I was wondering if I bake a cake level torte it and if I use a mousse filling and than crumb coat it can I freeze it once the crumb coat crust? Thanks Megan

I don't know about freezing the mousse. What kind is it?

Haven't done it myself, but have been really leery about the idea of freezing a mousse because I just don't trust that it will come back to a nice consistency. Don't think this helps much but I'll give you a bump.

I agree Sarah. I just wouldn't take the chance with the mousse. Can you make the cake, freeze it, and later fill and frost?

I just wanted to see what everyone thought about freezing the mouse part! I normally bake level torte and seperate layer with paper! Thanks for the advice!
