Check out threads which talk about the White Almond Sour Cream cake and its variations, this will give you ideas on what to add and in what quantities.

I read somewhere not here on CC that some cake mixes already use pudding mix in them. So I am curious if you use one with pudding mix already in it and then you add even more pudding mix, would this make the cake very dense?

Here's a multi-linked thread on adding pudding to cake mix:

Adding 2 tablespoons of dry coffee creamer is also popular. There's no consensus yet on the correct amount for the liquid creamers.

Here's a thread to scratch cake recipes using liquid and powdered creamers:

Wow Jan! You just answered a question I was about to post. I know you are the "link queen", but I didn't know you were a mind reader also!

I make this type of cake often. I use it for bundt cakes and party cakes.
Add 4 eggs, 1/2 cup oil, 1 cup water, and a 4-serving size of INSTANT pudding. It does not get real dense by adding these ingredients but more so than just the add-in ingredients on the box of the cake mix.
