Ok, so I have some Cake dummies, and I tried to wrap them in Plastic wrap so that I could decorate them and then reuse...but this stuff sticks to NOTHING!!!! INCLUDING ITSELF!!!! Now I remember why I refuse to use this stuff!!! Is there a "plastic wrap secret" that I am missing somewhere? Thanks everyone!!

Did you try press n seal? I'm in love with it!

Different brands of plastic wrap are stickier than others . Glad drives me nuts because it sticks to itself all over the place! (of course that is what I buy) Try that one

ha ha ha ha ha ha!! I feel your pain!! As far as cake dummies, I used some leftover acrylic paint my hubby had (he's a handyman) and that works well. Don't use anything oil based or it will eat the stryofoam.

You can also use them as-is and soak them in hot water and let them air dry. Styrofoam doesn't absorb water so it's easy to clean them with hot water.

As for a plastic wrap secret, go fish! icon_biggrin.gif

I get the large box of Reynolds plastic wrap at Sam's Club. It has always worked well for me.

I have been using Sam's brand to wrap & freeze my cakes after getting the advice to use it from CC almost a year ago. It works great--better than any other "brand" name. And a huge box is cheap. But I can't say how it would work on your dummies..... :{

Staple the stuff in to place. jk

Press and seal is a god send IMHO. I dont have dummy cakes but it works on everything and it doesnt stick to its self until you want it to.
