You see, i am currently fostering a ferret. He is a sweet, perfect, and really calm boy. The perfect ferret for me. But the reason he is being fostered and not adopted is my mom. I had to fight my butt off to just fotser my boy. It wasn't easy ,but i was happy. But now after 9 months my mom is making me bring him back. icon_cry.gif Today at 5pm EST Nanook goes back to the shelter. And it really hurts. It may sound silly but i feel like i'm abadoning him or something. icon_sad.gif

Anyone who videos a sleeping, snoring ferret is definately in love! They can be such great pets. I am sorry your mom won't let you keep him.

Lol thanks everyone! It took me a while to get the half of the crate off quietly without waking him up. But i'm glad i got it. He didn't even wake upto his chicken gravy. icon_confused.gif

But now he's back at the shelter. It feels so strange to not have him here. icon_cry.gif

Thanks everyone! It was relaly tough to give him back,. my room looks so empty now without him. Its way to quiet to. icon_sad.gif

And to answer your question on ferres being legal in NYC here's a greta site about it! htp://www.nycferrets.com/
To put it smply its because the department of health is a bunch of hard-hearing closed minded, mis-informed people who refuse to listen or change the law. Even though they don't have any reason, legally, to add ferrets to the animal ban list.

For some reason they think they will breed like rats and over-run the city somehow. This couldn't be more from the truth as ferrets can barely survive 3 days on their own outside and practically all are fixed. icon_sad.gif
