Sorry but I have a gripe. I hate how Wilton applies the paper inside the cake pan that you buy with tape. Everytime I pull the paper thingie out part of the tape adhesive stays on the pan!!! Maybe it's just me but shouldn't there be a better way to apply that thing?

Ohh, I know exactly what you mean. It takes like 526 washes to get it out!!! (Pulled that number out of nowhere!!!) I scrub and scrub at that stupid sticky part!!!

Try a MisterClean Eraser. They work great on those kind of things.

But I am with you on that sticker thing. My pet peeve is the one they apply on the outside of the pan. Sometimes the come off nice and neat and other times they refuse to come off at all.

YES! Why can't they use the sticky, stretchy, stuff like on some of the gift baskets, and plastic bowls?

It's weird, b/c sometimes you get the sticky/stretchy glue and sometimes you get the tape. I can never get the tape off! Goo gone works pretty well, but you really have to wash it afterwards!

I also find that Goo-Gone works well for the tape residue, really comes in handy especially on the older pans we get from eBay or garage sales etc.

I found a great product called De-Solv-it Citrus Solution. It works on decals, stickers, adhesives, etc. You just saturate the area with it, wait 30 seconds, and then it comes right off.

I can get the inside one out but not the outside sticker. The citrus stuff does work, too.

I agree, or a bit of margarine or butter. Takes a bit longer but it works. We used to use nail polish remover or lighter fluid but I am a bit afraid to suggest that in case it marks the finish of the pan. This does work really well on glass though, so a tip for the future maybe.

Rubbing alcohol will work too-just be sure to wash the pan really well-while the smell may disapate-you want to make sure it's clean due it being flammable!

I use baby oil, then wash it. Baby oil works great on tree sap, also. I know, I'm a little late for all of you getting rid of your Christmas trees!!!
