I may have my first wedding cake to do! icon_eek.gif But I do not know what to charge. She wants a square stacked wedding cake 8", 12", & 16" and a 10" square cake on each side of the wedding cake. She wants real flowers on top of the wedding cake & both side cakes & pink daisies around the middle of each layer of the wedding cake. She doesn't want alot of decoration but we are talking alot of cake. Please help!!!!

typically tiered cakes start from very cheap $1.50/serving up to an average of 3.50/serving for buttercream. the cost of flowers is in addition to the cake cost, and if they are saving the top, you don't normally count that in your number of servings.

Well I am in a similar position and trying hard to figure out if I'm charging the right price. Yes, the bride is a family friend and the design is very simple. Anyway, I will be making a 3 tiered square stacked cake. 16,12,8 to feed 225 guests. Filling and BC, the design is simple. Just some white pearlsr I was thinking $375.00 which I know many are going to say is too cheap. I just got alice's pricing matrix to see if how far off I am. Let me know how much you come up with.

My D&R (drop 'n run) price is $2.25/serving. 225 x $2.25 comes to over $500. I only do buttercream and I don't charge extra for design elements.
