I have a client that wants to transport a two tier stacked buttercream cake "in a cooler" for a 5-hour drive. She's one of my best clients, so I need to find a way to make it work. I haven't seen this cooler, so I have to make alot of guesses. I think a half sheet cake would be easier to transport (do they fit in a normal cooler?). How would you wrap it to prevent sweating and ice, etc from leaking through cake box?
I need answers fast! Any ideas?
You need to see the cooler to determine the size.
If you use blue ice on the bottom, surrounded by non-skid shelf liner, the cake should be fairly stable. Just add whatever you need for the cake to be flat and the board against the sides to prevent sliding.
