Yes, wafer paper will go through your edible printer just fine. Its good it you want to make something that can stand alone, like the butterflys or money etc.
Just a suggestion.....I find that if you put the wafer paper on white frosting the image shows up much better. Also if you have photoshop I have found if you make the image have more contrast and brightness it shows up better also. It should look too bright and have too much contrast and it will show up very well.
I've used wafer/rice paper in my printer and I agree with AlamoSweets, the images seem to come out a little dull or faded as opposed to the frosting sheets!
tastycakes,
where do you purchase your icing sheets? The rice paper from Kopycakes I have found to be the best.
I usually purchase them from the cake store down the street! But I've had them both from Kopykakes and never have a problem.
Yes, you can hate me for being right around the corner from a very well-stocked cake supply store. Go ahead, I can take it. When it's nice, I walk there - dig-dig-dig.
That would be so nice! I have to order anything out of the ordinary. Even in San Antonio!
