I found some recipe that required a bundt pan - I was wondering, instead of using a bundt pan, can I use the round cake pan to make 2 or 3 layers? If not, please explain. I'm curious, as I'm learning. icon_smile.gif

I'd like to know myself. It seems like we'd be able to but you never know you know?!

Yes. icon_smile.gif

I was reading about that in the cake doctor book this weekend. You can use any pan, just remember the baking times will be different. icon_smile.gif

Most of the time you can without the texture being altered much. Just measure out your amounts required and go by recommended batter amounts for your pans sizes as a guide. There is sometimes a change in how these recipes will rise and the texture because the recipe was meant to use a bundt pan, usually a more dense type of cake more appropriate for a bundt or tube pan. I make a few coffee type cakes that just don't come out as well in regular cake pans but still turn out.
