three tier mini wedding cake pan from sugarcraft? I can't figure out how to get these buggers out of the pan without breaking. They aren't sticking around the sides, just on the very bottom and that tier is breaking off when I try to get the cake out. Any ideas or tips? I want to make these for a very small bridal show in two weeks and am practicing. I've put a pic of the pan I'm talking about with this. Please help! You guys out here at CC are great!!!!!

That's cool! Where did you get those? I hope you can figure it out, and then share with everyone else! icon_smile.gif

I believe one of the benefits of silicone is that you're not supposed to have to flour it, etc, but I suggest that you spray a little pam or use a little of the Wilton cake release on that part of it. You shouldn't have any problems then. Also, if it's breaking because it's squishing together at the top when you go to release it -- try tapping it around the top and edges and giving it a light squeeze around the entire circle at the top before tryin to release it.

I would put a small disc of parchment paper on the bottom so that the top will pop out.

You don't really need to put anything in the pan before you use it,but you can wet it with water beforehand if you want. The cakes have to be absolutely cooled before you remove them from the pan - they will break if still warm.

Ok, well, I've tried everything I can think of and everything you can think of and still can't get them out without breaking. I've done the parchment at the bottom, sprayed it, not sprayed it, froze before taking out. still nothin'! Maybe I'm just not meant to use it. Thanks for the ideas anyway!

I might suggest e-mailing Sugarcraft and express your concerns. Perhaps they have a suggestion for you that would work. I believe there is a contact us link on their site.
