I'm not stressed yet because I haven't accepted the order. But, I think I'd have a heart attack with this one. Am I crazy to consider making a cake with a princess driving it somehow? icon_confused.gif

Any ideas or links to pics of ones already done?

Are you talking about a carved cake or can you do a FBCT?

Not sure how big you need it.... I would take the 3D car and cut the top off...make a fondant "convertible" windshield...and maybe use a doll pick and stick that in the driver's side with a fondant steering wheel. If you need more servings, maybe put the car on top of a sheet cake decorated like a road with grass and maybe some fairy tale looking frogs or flowers or etc.

That's a great idea -- sounds beyond me, but at least it's a starting place.

Also, not sure about the fbct -- can definitely do that one!

Beyond you? icon_confused.gif I just looked at your airplane cake.... this will be EASY! The 3D car pan cake, esp without the top part, is a cinch to cover in fondant....and with the doll pick to be your princess, you will have the cake done in no time at all. Truly!

Thanks for the vote of confidence! I haven't used the 3D car pan yet, so it's always scary thinking about unknown territory. I'll look into the pan and perhaps give this a whirl! icon_smile.gif

The 3D pan is the easiest 3D one to bake because its only one piece and you bake it upside down (needs a bit more than one cake mix though to make it full), level it, and turn it out. Its not a pain like the bear or the train or other two piece molds. I did a Lightning McQueen car using it and it was really easy to cover in fondant.
