Wow beany! You did alot of research, Thanks for all the work and some really good links.
Those are fabulous...thank you so much!!
I looked through my bookmarks, and mostly I have pictures that I look at and think "I wonder how they do that?!?!"
But here are the two "how-tos" that I do have:
http://members.nuvox.net/~zt.proicer/cakepict/goodies.htm (this site has a couple different tutorials)
http://community.webshots.com/album/283308759UqOctN (baby booties--I think I actually got this link from somebody else on this board!)
Thanks! I was looking for something with pictures and details of how to use impression mats and stumbled across your posting!
Thanks for this topic I will definately keep this in my favourites and also try to find some stuff to add to it.
Great list. I have one too, just don't have the time right this minute to list them. Will try to do that later.

That is going to be SO helpful to have. I am so new to this but I have to learn fast - I am going to do a cake for a friends wedding in July. Thankfully she just wants something very simple and plain. This website has been SO great so far and these links are going to be priceless to me! Thanks for sharing.
Well- I guess technically this is not a HOW-to per se, but I find it really useful. Especially since I have several European books that mention ingredients by different names or that are new to me. I had the hardest time fuguring out what castor sugar is. I finally found it was superfine, but not 10x.
So, hope this helps.....it is not jsut subs, it tells the properties of most items it lists.
