I really need to know if it is possible. I have a total of 5 tiers but the design of the cake won't allow me to do the last 2 tiers on site. Can I do it by stacking and center doweling the first 4 and then doing the top when I get there? Sizes are double layer 14"-6"

Yes. Dowel well and drive slowly.

The cake I delivered Saturday was 4 tiers and I delivered it completely assembled. Durring the drive there though, I had to go over some very rough railroad tracks that made me very nervous, but it was just fine.

Make sure you have some muscle to help you move it too! It will be heavy!

I do it, although I did have one cake collapse. I didn't for about a year after the collapse, but do again now. It is sooooooooo stressful for me to transport cakes.

As was said take someone with you to help lift, but yes it can be done, you are better off to know percisely where you are going, so that you can better plan your route.
