What exactly is it and how do you use it? How much does it cost and where can you get them? Are they hard to use? Sorry for so many questions. Thanks!
You can get them from earlenescakes $5 ea, but there is a min.order of $50. Sugarcraft also carries it. and probably afew other places. it is a thin sheet of plastic that has a raised diamond pattern that you press into the icing, buttercream or fondant. easy to use, just make a couple of masking tape handles on the back then it is eashier to hold.
Thanks for the heads up! One more question though.... If I wanted to put the impression on fondant, would I make the impression onto the fondant while its rolled flat and then cover the cake or vice versa?
Cover the cake then imprint the design while the fondant is still fresh and not dry. you may have to go over them with a straight edge, i usually use a plastic ruler with a paper towel covering the edge for a softer imprint.
