ok...I need help....this is what she wants...now keep in mind its for her husband icon_confused.gif

heart shaped cake...(carrot w/white cream cheese icing)

something small

his favorite color is Blue...a dark blue...what goes with blue...how about red ( this was how she said it)

hugs and kisses (x's and o's)

ummm how do I do this keeping it "male"....and keeping it from looking terribly patriotic ...hard I know when the colors are already red and blue with white icing.....I guess I could always resort to red icing..... icon_eek.gificon_confused.gif ( I just keeping thinking gross....red cream cheese on carrot cake?)

Happy Birthday ( im thinking banner on the board or on it)

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

How about one of those heart shaped lingerie cakes? The "lady" could have some blue lingerie on and maybe have "xoxo" tatooed right above her bosom?

Ummmmm detective.gif

It Has to be a heart shape??? I am thinking a manly cake just went down the drain with it being the shape of a heart nevermind x's & o's. icon_eek.gif

umm you could try a to make a funky design with the x & o ??? something abstract???

Good luck! icon_wink.gif

Now i am not going to be able to sleep till i figure this out! icon_cry.gificon_lol.gificon_cry.gificon_lol.gif

two options

(on the one w/ the wires...top is lighter blue so you can see the wires...would actually make it the same dark blue as on sides)

Another idea would be like a tic-tac-toe board on top of the cake and make the x and o's from fondant/sugarpaste and place them across the middle of the 'board'. Then write happy birthday around the sides.

You must think I am an idiot, Doug. I was looking at the cake from the top of the heart down, but I just had another look sideways at it and it is exactly as I imagined it. Sorry icon_redface.gif

Cool drawing! I like how you did the 3-D effect. thumbs_up.gif I can't even do that on paper--forget doing it with Paintbrush or something!

Doug, your ideas are so terrific! THANK YOU from all of us who look to you for creative man juices....I don't really mean that how it sounds I guess!!! icon_eek.gificon_biggrin.gif

I would still use one of Doug's templates and just do it on a round cake. I think they are great ideas and manly too.
