Can You Make Ganache With Half & Half?

Oh, someone please tell me I can make a pourable ganache with half & half! I'm so tired, I don't want to go to the store just for cream....and am way, way too tired to dig out my books to look up fat to chocolate to liquid ratios for ganache.

well i would think it would be okay if you added some extra butter to your half n half. That might do the trick.

I did this when i ran out of cream. I put like 1/4 cream and 3/4 half and half and it came out much less thicker and much much lighter in color compared to the cream even though it was all the same ingredients except for the half and half.(and i did add butter) But the taste wasn't different.
