We head been around each other our whole lives but we never really met until our senior year in high school. Here is the short version of our story ...

When we were young the back of his house was facing the back of my house, we went to the same school and were in the same grade but never in the same classroom, his mother and stepfather were on the same Dominoe league as my father and we used to go to the same tournaments with our parents, his stepfather gave their pet cat "Misty" to my dad for me when they couldn't keep her anymore, we went to the same high school and were in the same division for three years before I finally noticed him ( I need to add he said he had an instant crush on me as soon as he saw me, poor thing I never acknowledged his exsitance) we finally started going out senior year and We have been together since September 1994 and we are happily married and have 3 beautiful children. I BELIEVE in fate!!!!

Thanks for reading
Jackie

It was my first day as a waitress and the supervisor told me to "watch out" for him. He liked to tease the waitresses. All I said was I hope he can take as good as he gives. We've been together 7 yrs and married 5+ years now. And yes he can take as good as he gives.

We met in an online dating site icon_eek.gif I'm not sure if I would do it again. Not about MY DH, but the online thing. You hear of sooo much child porn, and bad people online and looking for someone to hurt. I was just one of the lucky ones I guess. We were just meant to meet. It was the first time I had ever looked at one of those sites and to date the last icon_biggrin.gif Married 4 years been togeather for 7 1/2. thumbs_up.gif

Ken - there are no words to express the sadness of your loss. There are a lot of folks who care - take care of yourself in this time of greiving. I am so very sorry.

Ken, I'm terribly sorry for your loss. She sounds like she was a very special lady.

I met my husband through a mutual friend who had a crush on him. She was always dragging me around to meet her male friends so I could tell her what I thought of them. My hubby and I were friends for about 2 years before we started dating at which time I almost lost my girl friend (even though she'd never even had one date with him), but she gradually came around and is still one of my best friends. My hubby and I married in 1999 and now have two beautiful children to raise and three with the Lord. We've been very blessed and I love my family so much. : )

Ken, I have no words to express how sorry I am to hear of your loss. May the memories of your wife and your time with her help to ease your sorrow during this very difficult time.

I met my husband on a blind date. He had a friend of mine through work and he kept asking her if she had any single friends. She told him she had one (me) but that I was very bitter about men (not entirely true, I just didnt want to date a bunch of guys I knew I wasnt meant to be with). After he hounded her for a couple of weeks, she finally talked me into to meeting him. He was 26 yrs old, divorced and had two young children. Being that I was only 22, I was sure it was a mistake to meet him, but I figured I didnt have anything to lose. DH and I went on a double date with the friend who set us up and her husband. The four of us went out again the next day. DH and I have been together ever since. We talked about getting married four weeks after we met and went to pick out the ring. We were officially engaged two weeks after that (shocking everyone we knew!) We were married 14 months after we met and we just celebrated our 5th anniversary in December 2005. Our son, Sebastien will be two in April.

my best friend met my hubby's best friend on the internet......we lived in Ohio and they lived in New Jersey, I being 5'11 went to protect her (she's 5'1) in case he turned out to be crazy...they hit it off, he gave his friend my email address after meeting me.....eventually my hubby and I met, fell in love, did the long distance relationship thing for a year....I moved to Jersey, we have two children together and have been together for almost five yrs. now....married for 3 .....and we intend to live happily ever after

KEN: I AM SO VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS........HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE FRIENDS WHO CAN HELP YOU THROUGH THIS DIFFICULT TIME....AND REMEMBER WITH CHRIST THERE IS NO END, YOU WILL BE WITH HER AGAIN SOMEDAY

ken, i hope that you will remember that your memories keep her alive in your mind, you thoughts keep her in your life, and you love will keep her happy until you meet again. greatest condolences.

and now, one more story to add to all the great ones everyone has told already...

when i was a freshman, my now hubby, was a senior, a fairly popular one, so of course i had a silly crush on him. over the course of the next three years we developed a friendship. during my senior year he took a semester off from college. as his father was the head chaperone with the high school band that i was in, since he was here for the semester and was band alumni, he got volunteered to come along and help. we ended up sitting together on bus trips and got a lot closer as friends. as the season went on, it seemed that we were the only ones that didn't see that we were falling in love. he had a girl at school and i had a guy that i know through work, so we never considered it, i guess. finally after four months, i kissed him. that was december of 1998, we just celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary on the 9th of this month, we have a wonderful little boy and are happy as ever.
