Took my first Wilton class tonight and it was great! Even though we just went over the basics, I feel that I learned alot! There are 5 students including myself. The instructor was very nice and informative.
So, of course, after the class I had to go shopping for more stuff

Oh Lady!!!
You just wait!!! I thought that after I got a few classes under my belt that I would slow down with the thoughts and plans and dreams and schemes of cakes but it just keeps getting worse!!!! I think i'm in for the long haul and if your reaction is anything like mine...which it sounds awfully familiar
, then I think you may lose a few hours of sleep as well.... ![]()
Welcome to our little world of sugar obsession!!! It's so nice to have more company!!!! LOL!!!
Can't wait to see your cakes!!!
I'm momto3girls as well. Maybe you don't have girls but I see you have 3!!!
Michelle...I have 2 boys (ages 7 and 9) and a girl (age 3). Thanks to them, I have learned that I have to decorate my cakes at night when they are asleep.
Today I made my first 'fun' cake and it was a nightmare. Kept getting called away, icing was getting hard, didn't put enough on the cake, etc....I finally got it looking ok...tastes really good! Vanilla with a strawberry glaze filling. It was for my boys who got on the honor roll. It didn't come out the way I had hoped, but it's not a complete disaster.
