hi i am planning on entering my first competition and i am trying to find the easiest cake to use because the one i am going into is external presentation only i am doing rock around the clock please help
it will not be eaten after show

A box mix would be the easiet but measure your batter out and I would also collar the pans to get nice tall tiers. There is an article on collaring your pans in the articles section.

yes they do but what would i make it out of hard foam or something like it

You can buy the cake dummies already to go. Almost any cake supply place would have them.
