Icing For Donuts? What Do You Recommend??

Usually you make a glaze of milk and powdered sugar with flavourings or melted chocolate or cocoa mixed with powdered sugar and milk. Some people use water instead of milk but generally you do not add a fat product to a glaze for donuts.

Thanks Squirrelly!
So, I wouldn't add any butter to the icing.....like the package says to?? just milk and icing sugar and flavoring?
Sorry kiddo, did you get a package of icing mix for donuts? Sorry, I didn't know you could get such a thing. I just meant that normally you don't use a buttercream as a glaze for donuts, just a milk or water and powdered sugar glaze. But if you got some form of a special icing mix for them, then go ahead and follow the instructions. You are always better off following the instructions for products you buy.

OH No, It's just a regular bag of icing sugar LOL! Not specifically made for donuts....sorry to mislead you!
Heehee, well there likely is such a product somewhere, haha! I would just go with the powdered sugar, flavourings and milk and cocoa or melted chocolate if you are doing chocolate glaze. You can use that Mapospread (spelling?) product for maple donuts. Some people use Nutella as a spread for donuts too.
