Well this is the weekend for the SIL Extravaganza b/d clebration. I am making the Caribbean themed cake. I have the fondant beach chairs, shoes, balls, towels, tables and glasses made. The plastic palm treee and umbrella ready. I have purchased the extra piping gel to make the water and the graham crackers are ready to crush for sand. My question is...I am making chocolate cake w/raspberry filling. Do I still make a piping of BC icing around the bottom layer and then fill in with the raspberry jelly?
Thank you all for your help...I'm nervous, I want this to look good and not like the amature I am! I will post pictures on Sun

Yes. Always use a dam of buttercream with any filling.
Good luck! It sounds like it will be a fun cake!

I would make a raspberry buttercream to do the border. I always wondered that to when I first began, always thought it would look strange once cut. Good luck sounds like a awesome cake!!!
