Can you only take the ICES cake decorating classes if you are a member?

I'm sorry, but I don't have an answer for you. I do, however, have a suggestion. I believe they have a website; maybe you can find out there.

TheCakerator:
I'm a new ICES member but I believe the classes, demonstrations, etc. are for members if it's the local chapters sponsoring them.
Good question!!!! Hope someone gives more info on the topic! icon_smile.gif

I am in SC and will be attending my first DOS next week-end as a non-member. I will join ICES at the meeting, but they do allow us to attend one meeting before joining to see if we like the group. I am paying a bit more for the registration fee than a member would, but I believe that this is a national policy. Once to try, then join before the second. Maybe someone who knows more for sure will confirm....

You can attend most any ICES event if you are a non-member. Sometimes you may have to pay a few bucks more than a member, sometimes not. But I've never seen anything in any state where non-members weren't welcome.

TheCakerator:
I just received registration info on an upcoming DOS in AL. On the registration forms, it does have a spot for "non-members" and it's $10 more for non-members.
(realize info is probably old news now but just wanted to share with you)
