Hi everybody! OK, I need to find the BEST SIFTER ever!! I´ve had several sifters and non of them work properly, I´m so mad, I need to buy a good one! And now, I need to make 3 recipes of MMF, do I really need to sift the confectioners sugar? What would happen if I don´t?? Please, advise and help!

Nothing will happen if you don't sift your sugar, unless it's really lumpy (unlikely).

I have tried all sifters and hate them all, so I just use a big sieve, which works beautifully!

Here's an example: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004SU1M/?tag=cakecentral-20

They are very common, such as at Wal-Mart, Target, Bed, Bath & Beyond, etc.

I don't sift mmf anymore because it's fine without sifting and I also use a big sieve. icon_smile.gif

I do recommend using the sieve. A number of people have complained of lumps in their fondant. I did notice my conf. sugar had lumps after I used the sieve and I could smooth them out with a spoon in the sieve. Hate sifters.... threw mine away. Just gently shake the sieve up and down...
