Am I the only one that actually likes to eat fondant on cake?? ![]()
(the good stuff of coarse!)
I like it, but only the good stuff. I prefer Satin Ice.

I am happy to report that at a bridal show a couple weeks ago, I had out alot of cake samples, but also small blocks of MMF.
Anyone who tried the MMF was pleasantly surprised, and I gained a few customers that way!
fresh w/in a day chocolate or vanilla satin ice - yes. the flavor and texture blend well with buttercream and cake flavors/fillings.
mmf...not so much. too sweet, and not every cake flavor goes well with marshmallows.
wilton....bleck. wouldnt even consider it.
just a matter of personal taste i suppose.
Here in Venezuela the are no buttercream decorated cakes, everybody loves fondant
I really like it on NFSC. I tried to eat it on my tiffany bag cake (because I had made it lemon!), but it didn't really go with the cake. I ate some of it separately from the cake...
I really need to make lemon nfsc with lemon mmf...or maybe not b/c I'd probably eat the whole batch by myself...lol
I just can't. I have tried it more than once, homemade and satin-ice...I just can't get past the texture. Most people I know will try a couple of bites of cake with it and then peel off the rest.
I can't say I never tried it...but I just dont see the hype on it...other then it makes a beautiful cake.... even marshmallow fondant .... I can handle that... especially when I'm in the mood for sweet, ya know though I may never had the good stuff.... what brand is that? I would love to try it....
I like Pettinice, it's expensive but I only use it when I have a very special cake to do. I'm too chicken to try MMF, I really should though!!
