I found this in a cake supply store in Houston. I used to use a large pancake spatula to lift cakes but this is broad and sturdy.

I have one of those. It is the BEST cake utensil I own! it makes it so much easier to move a cake and to stack cakes.

I was surprised it was only $14.00. I paid $17 for my pancake turner and I thought that was worth it.

I have one too and love it! I've also seen people use those flat sided cookie sheets for bigger cakes. Looks like that would work really well for 1/4 and 1/2 sheets.

I use a metal pizza peel. They're inexpensive and sturdy, and come in widths up to 16 inches.

I have the big one, the 16 incher. It even works on half sheet cakes. I bought mine in the local restaurant supply store, but they are also readily available online.

Yeaaaaa - something I can get here in Houston. I just took a class in making Chocolate Ganache covered cakes and a woman in the class was using this tool to move her Ganached covered cake from the rack onto a finished plate - it was sooo easy. Thanks for the tip! thumbs_up.gif
