First Cake For A Paying Customer! (Pic)

Thank you to everyone that helped me with this. Once again it was a cake of "firsts"...first paying cake, first CCC, first chocolate transfer. I ended up charging $60 for this (36 cupcakes) plus 14 more frosted cupcakes. Sound reasonable? She thought it was a good deal and said she would likely be calling me again. Here it is!
Really cute! And you could have gotten away with at least $2/serving as well....but you did great! If you are both happy, then your name will get out and you'll have more work soon!
SO cute! And totally reasonable price. You definitely didn't over charge, but you were compensated for your hard work! Good for you! that image is too cute. I love the gut!!
Kitagrl...after putting all the hard work into it, I think I would probably charge a little more next time. It surprised me that she thought it was SUCH a good deal, though! She even asked me on the phone after I told her the price if I wanted more money...I felt kind of boxed into a price at that point so I said no. My costs were $15-20, though, so I made about $40 off this! Next time I would probably charge $1.50 each (so, $75 for this). The most important thing to me was getting word out...
nglez...someone from here (sorry, I can't remember your name!) PM'd the pic to me. I assume it was from the internet. I couldn't find anything decent to use. THe original picture had a can/cup in his hand, though...
Thanks!!
Really nice. I'd charge a bit more next time. I charge a minimum of $2.00 a cupcake. Usually I charge $3.00 to $3.50, but I use pretty expensive ingredients.
That is absolutely hilarious!! I love the graphics!
You really did a great job. Congratulations!!
Cindy
Your cake turned out awesome! I just love the guy and his big belly=) GREAT JOB!! Jen
Thanks! It's far from perfect...if you look closely you can see his face is smudgy. I did the outline and then went to put the next color on and it must have been too warm because when I flipped it over to put it on the cake I could see there were several places it looked like it melted. Overall, though, I'm happy with it...especially considering my ENTIRE portfolio is in my photos!
I just love this image! You did a great job. I haven't done a chocolate transfer yet. I'll have to try one soon.
Once again, awesome job!
