Could you make different size blocks of primary colors and put different small toys on them and on the side??

Could you scuplt some sort of an animal and have blocks and different small toys sitting around it?? Like a teddy bear with a blue blanket.

I know I am reaching here but wanted to TRY to help!!! Maybe it will get your ideas flowing!!!

If you know the babies gender and future name, make a group of blocks that spell out the name. The other sides of the blocks can be filled in with other toy shapes (ball, trucks, etc) It's also a great way to get a lot of different colors involved.

I would do a round tiered with the blocks at the "corners", if you will, and the toys too.

I just uploaded this cake that may help you with ideas... http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=coppermine&file=displayimage&pos=-274283

You can always do a "construction" scene on the bottom with graham cracker sand, and a dump truck, but hopefully this gives you another idea.

How about a 3-D dump truck like nglez's avatar, filled with fondant toys?

You know, I remember a cake made about a teacher that had different views on each side relating to the classroom.

If you took like a hexagon cake and did different kinds of toy scenes on each side, it would be SO cool. And a baby sitting on top.

Like a sandbox on one side with little shovels, and a dumptruck and a red ball.

A side with blocks and building type toys.

A side with stuffed animals.

A side with little kid books & movies

A side with dinosaurs

And another kind of toy next.

That would be so cool.

One really cute cake that i have seen on here is a belly cake. It is a sheet cake with balls for the chest and belly, covered in a "dress" of fondant. I think it is very cute and I cant wait to try one myself!
