I will apologize if this has been posted before but after discovering I didn't have white paper shred for a cookie bouquet and I had to think of something to fill in the space between cookies. I cut white tissue paper into 6 inch squares and centered the stick on the square bringing up the tissue around it. Then I poked the stick into the foam in the basket. It turned out really nice. It is inexpensive and you don't end up with paper shred all over when you pull the cookies out. Also the tissue keeps bits of foam from sticking to the stick.

I have a paper crimper from my scrapbook stash that I use to make my own shred in a pinch. I crimp the paper and then run it through my paper shredder. Works for me!

I never thought about making my own shred--thanks for the idea! The picture that I used the tissue paper idea is in my photos--it is the one with flowers and butterflies. I didn't realize I was out of shred until the morning it was due and had not time to go out and get some.

Birdgirl. this is what I've done with mine. I liked the way the tissue re-enfroced the cookies so they won't wobble or turn. It also helped to re-enforced the styrofoam.

I liked the look a whole lot better.

I used hot pink colored feathers (found in a craft store) in the foam. You can see it in my pictures. It was so easy and so colorful!
