Hello! I am new here, and pretty much new to making cookies. Tonight I was going to try to make mmf, but I don't have any corn syrup to make the mmf stick to the cookie. Is there anything else that I can use? icon_confused.gif Thanks!

Welcome to Cake Central. You can just very lightly brush some water onto the back of the fondant. It will melt it a bit, so it will stick to the cookie. Once it dries, it is stuck.

That's what I've used-and you don't need much!

If you cut the shape out of MMF while the cookies are cooking, and place it on the cookie when they come out of the oven. It will stick all by itself. It works wonderfully, and no extra step.

I do what Momof4 does and it is sooo easy. Plus you can kinda *mold* the fondant to the cookie while it is warm. I did hand cookies and some of the fingers were a bit off kilter when they came out--not a problem--just let the fondant be guided a bit and patted into place.

Makes a very pretty cookie. Love this method. I think it was prettycakes who got me interested in this method. Of course my cookies are not as spectacular as hers--wow!
