And have used it to torte the two cakes that I have to have done in 2 hours. I told myself I'd put off the cakes til 3 PM and at 2:58 PM it came!

I have everything ready for one cake, and everything but the frosting done for the other. DH is at the grocery store getting me some more powdered sugar and some cake boxes.

I'm waiting for the rapsberry filling to cool down for one cake adn than I'll be working on that cake.

YAY!

I have to ask as I have never seen or heard of this product, but just looked it up out of curiosity....how does it work? It looks like the blades are vertical? I am all for things that make life easier!

I heard about this cake marvel just yesterday. Went straight to the website, and promptly fell in love. Can't say I'm not just a tad jealous...

Have fun with it!!

The ladies husband is an engineer and he designed this super heavy duty cake leveler that makes it super easy to level the cakes within an 1/8 of an inch. I seriously can do it blindfolded (I did do it with my eyes closed, just to show my neighbor I could). I would even let my 3 year old do it if the blade wasn't so stinkin sharp (good for cakes, bad for my hands, I think I cut myself each time I use it, but I appreciate how sturdy the blade is so no complaining!)

You should all get one!

This is the best money I've spent on cake in a long time. Not only were my cakes PERFECTLY level, the layers were so much easier to fill because they weren't all cattywompus. It was awesome.

Congratulations. See what you get for listening to nglez09's wisdom? icon_wink.gificon_lol.gif J/k.

I'm really happy for you. How many blades does it come with?

Thank you. That looks really cool.

Yet another tool on my HUGE, ever growing, never ending list of this I simply must have.

It comes with the two blades. And boy, when people say they're sharp they're not kidding. I didn't cut myself, but when I placed the blade just barely up against the cake to see where it placed on the cake, it sliced into it a little! Just with a touch! And this was a very firm WASC cake!

Which model did you buy, the regular or deluxe?

OMG, I'm sooo jealous. I just watched the demo at the website. DH of course does not understand how they can charge so much but I'd buy it in a heart beat. (If I made money off cakes)

OK, so what does WASC stand for?

I believe that's the White Almond Sour Cream cake. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

I can't wait to save up enough to buy an Agbay leveler. My hubby saw it (over my shoulder) when I was looking at the website weeks ago and of course the first thing he said was, "Are they kidding?! I can make one of those. All you need is..." blah, blah, blah [stopped listening, so I don't know exactly what he said after that]. icon_wink.gif If I have to wait for him to reinvent the leveler, I might as well just wait until I have the funds to buy the original. It'll take the same amount of time; or less! (Cheap) Men!

Yes WASC is white almond sour cream cake, it's really good, you can make it just about any flavor besides the white almond.

I love my AGBAY, it sure saves me time and stress. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

I've always wanted to try making a Dobosh Torte and the Agbay would be perfect for that. I can't wait. Hmmm... my anniversary is in May and DH will be on a business trip in Vegas. That might be a good time to ask for one. icon_twisted.gif

I only have the regular, but I don't need the deluxe. Yes I double tort, but I have a hard enough time not cutting myself with the one blade icon_lol.gif

Seriously, the blade is super sharp and sturdy so I can cut a 2nd layer even 1/8 of an inch higher than the other layer and it cuts perfectly, doesn't disturb the cake at all. It is an amazing and beautiful thing!

Our spouses would have a hard time making a duplicate of this, it is VERY study with a super sharp blade and the measuring guide. The amount of work our spouses would have to put into recreating the wheel would be valued at more than the price of the Agbay. I would just buy from this lady (Maureen) she is super nice and it is truly a great product!
