Mine lasts for at least a week. But it does matter what you made it with, Is it egg white RI or meringue powder RI?

If I am not mistaken you don't need to keep RI in the fridge. You can keep it in a dark, cool place and it will stay good for at least two weeks. You will just need to remix it to get it back to a good consistency. I am sure others here at CC will have a more exact answer for you but I kept my RI for about two weeks in my pantry in canning jars.

I don't think you're supposed to keep royal refrigerated. You can usually keep it for up to a month and just remix before using.

I can't imagine keeping RI made with egg whites out of the fridge for two weeks. You can do that with meringue powder RI though, it does depend on the weather, if it's hot mine doesn't last that long (gets moldy, yuck!)

I keep my royal icing in the fridge if it has egg whites but if it doesn´t it´s okay to leave it outside for weeks.

actually I havent looked at recipes ,i just saw where people use it to decorate with. I am looking for another way to color cookies. Does it taste any better than MMF? I have recently made my first batch and love it..I roll my mmf really thin and it is "surprisingly" good. I do not like the crappy taste of wilton brand.

I believe royal icing isn't supposed to be refrig. I use the wilton recipe and I believe it says don't refrig, I could be wrong

Yes, Wilton´s recipe doesn´t need to be refrigerated because it has meringue powder and no egg whites I believe.
