I am so confused about pricing cakes. I was fine till I got to the sheetcake sizes. Why is it that most people seem to price a 9x13 cake less than a 9" round? It takes more batter and serves more people so this doesn't make sense to me.
There are several ways of constructing the cakes, but usually, the 9" is two layers, and the 9x13 is not. Both can be torted. With two layers, the cake would take a little bit more work.
