Covering Nfsc In Melted Chocolate Instead Of No Fail Icing??

Hi Everyone,
I've done a search and didn't see the answer to my question on CC so if this has already been answered somewhere, please point me in the right direction.
I wanted to make NFSC and 'ice' them in melted chocolate instead of Royal or No Fail Icing?
Would this work? I would think that the cookies could be kept for a long time just like other NFSC since I would be using candy melts for the chocolate.
TIA
I think that this would work. I have used candy clay and rolled it out and cut it with the cookie cutter and it worked just fine. HTH
I use white and chocolate almond bark all the time. In fact, if I have to do bear cookies, or something like that, I just use chocolate melts instead of having to color icing. People really like them. I also dip the side of hearts, etc. in them. There are a few in a cookie tray picture in my gallery.
I've used all kind of candy melts too. Sometimes I coat NFSC with melts and then stick sprinkles on top, etc.
I just made sugar cookies and when they came out of the oven I put the white chocolate "fondant" right over it and tried to let it over the sides a little. The chocolate kinda melted, but stayed on the cookie. It came out greasy looking. Next time I will just melt the chocolate and dip it into it (DUH, never thought of that). I am on third week of practice and need to turn out a cookie bouquet by next weekend. Everyone is so good at decorating.
