Tonight a man @ church came to me very excited, and said he had a surprise for me. He said it was "cake stuff". I followed him out and he had THREE 45lb. boxes of Chocolate Buttercream base and THREE 34lb. tubs of German Chocolate Icing!!!!! He put it in the back of my Jeep. It was all cold, it has been refrigerated.

I have NO IDEA what to do w/all this icing. I stopped at my Grandma's house & put 1 box & 1 bucket in her spare refrigerator. I have 2 of each sitting in my garage right now. I don't know if this stuff is suppose to be refrigerated or not. I don't know how long it will last, or how many years it will take me to use it. I do know that before I can even try to use it, I'll have to come up w/some way to convert the directions to a manageable figure. The 45lb. box says to mix it w/10 pounds of butter in an 80 qt. mixing bowl. HAHAHAHAAAAA, WHATEVER!

Does anyone in the Central Texas area need some icing??? Any ideas on what to do w/it? I'm thinking of putting it in a plastic swimming pool & letting my 2 boys "mud wrestle" in it. icon_eek.gif

Can you freeze it? Wow, 250 pounds of icing. Free. That's so crazy! LOL

Holy cow - I have no idea. Where did he GET all of that icing? All I know is I can see a BIG thank you cake in his future . . . iced in chocolate buttercream, of course!

you don't have to refridgerate it.

i used to buy icing in 45 lb cubes....that type of stuff will stay good for a very long time.

even the cream cheese icing you get from a distributer doesn't need to be kept cold.

WOW WHAT A BLESSING!
