When I returned home tonight from my bible study my husband told me that there was something wrong with my blog. So, I went to take a look and sure enough there was. My mother had went to look at my newest cake and went to take one of my polls... I had three up and running. When she clicked to vote there were links to pornographic sites. I have no connection to these sites and don't know how long they've been there. I'm totally embarrassed and hope that as few people opened this as possible. If you have a website or blog... beware of using blogpoll.com.

So, now I'm looking for a new polling system to put on my blog. I like having interactive features there and it seemed like an innocent enough way to do this, until now. I had a birthday poll, a poll on where people found my blog address, and one on what kind of cooking oil they prefer.

Like I said, I'm sorry if I offended anyone. Just trust me, I had no clue until my mother of all people made the discovery! I've just removed all polls from my site... hopefully I'll find another source.

I am so sorry that happened to you! I hope you find an alternative soon. It is so weird how these people take over. You would think they would have a littel consideration for others! I mean if you're into porn that's your choice but there are some places that these things are inappropriate, like where children can see it or it comes up at work. This type of thing really ticks me off!

It's happened on my website guestbook as well. People are just rude and go looking for places to post their porn links. We deleted them and blocked the ISP, but we are always checking to make sure nothing like that happens. There's nothing you can do about it I wish there was a law or something. You feel like such a dork when you inadvertantly click on the link. Then you start wondering who knows that you've been to that site and if you're going to get called up on for going to porn sites...oh well. Maybe that's just me. I get so worried about that stuff!

Makes me angry too. It's not safe anywhere anymore. This garbage is everywhere. I'm so glad I didn't have any of these polls on my other blog... it's a Christian site. That would have been really bad.

Once on my old computer I had some kind of virus that linked everything to porn.....I was yelling at my poor hubby....I was like were you looking at porn, he said no then I got more mad because I thought he was lying. long story short, my computer crashed because of this( it was 5 1/2 years old time for a new one anyone) and now I tell everyone that i was raped on the internet. We still never know how that happened.

I have my wedding website there. It was very easy to make and to navigate etc. HOWEVER, I don't know if you can have a guest book. I've never tried to make one.....

Oh dear, that is awful. I am certain everyone knew you did not do this. It is really too bad that the people that do these things don't spend their energy doing something more positive with their time and lives. Sorry you had this experience kiddo!
