Here is my niece, Allie's first cake! I sent her a Course I kit and a little beginner cake decorating booklet for Christmas. She just turned 11. I'm so proud of her - especially because she had to read and figure out the instructions by herself! Here is her cake!!

She's so funny! They started cutting into the cake and she yelled at them to stop and for her daddy to get the camera out and take a picture - this is why there is a line across the bottom of the cake! She told my sister to make sure I knew that the cake had been cut. She's going to be my partner one day!

Wow, she did a GREAT job. What a great skill to learn and be so young. There are many many cakes in her future.

Same here! My first cake was just this past year!! It was just drop flowers. I absolutely put no thought into it...just kinda looked at one of the cakes in the Course I book and tried to get close to it! She apparently put more thought and design into her cake!! I guess I had better watch out. I'll end up being her partner!!
