I told this story to my DH and even he flipped out. He's not so into cakes, but this raised some hairs.

You are so very considerate of your friends and their pushy family. How lucky that lady that put the flowers in your cake was that you made extra.

There is a business just south of me that rents chocolate fountains... They also have a plexiglass barrier that they insist on using when its time for actual events... In talking with the owner about the ins and outs of our businesses, he was saying the same exact thing, "it's not usually the kids I have to worry about, it's the ADULTS who are trying to stick their hands in the chocolate"..

That's exactly what I was thinking! Were they silk or were they real??? And yeah did she spray them with anything?? That's just ignorant. I actually had trouble getting either my cake decorator or my florist to put flowers on my wedding cake. I didn't understand then what I do now about flowers and cakes but I just can't believe this woman would have the audacity to do that - ESPECIALLY if you were there/ were a guest and had been there for so long setting up already - if she felt a need to add flowers, she had HOW LONG to ask you while you were there???? Unbelievable.
