To be a better, nicer, more thoughtful, more tolerant of others kind of person, to be able to brush off unkind words and actions, to refrain from unkind words and actions, to reflect before reacting...
AND NOT TO BLOW IT ALL ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE NEW YEAR - OH LORD HAVE PATIENCE WITH ME, HHMN.
SAME AS LAST YEAR, DO YOU THINK THERE IS ANY HOPE, HAHA!
Hugs Squirrelly

I have the same resolutions I seem to have every year. Stick to a budget, be more organized about my paperwork, be more organized with my housework, do my daily devotional, and eat healthier. We'll see how it goes!

Well, here goes:

NOTHING!!! That way I'm not losing anything. I like who I am, what I do for others, and how I interact with others.
Now, I did not say that I was perfect, far from it, but we all have flaws and that's what sets us apart from everyone else.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

I did the whole get into better shape thing last New Years. I'm happy to report it's the one and only New Year's resolution I kept too. This year I'm going to try and keep my trap shut at work. I talk way way to much when I'm working.

I'm turning 40 in about 4 months and I want to resolve to be kinder to myself.
I tend to tear myself down at times. Wouldn't treat a stranger as bad as I do myself...

This is the year I have decided to make friends with me. thumbs_up.gif

Hmmm -

1) Control my impulse spending to quality items...not just cuz something's on sale!!

2) make a concious effort to save more for college funds for kids (goes along with #1)

3) Continue to lose weight ( I lost 15-17lbs last year)...total goal is to lose 15lbs this year.

4) continue to control my temper and be nice to everyone

OK HERE GOES, I WILL TRY TO BE WAY MORE ORGANIZED WHEN IT COMES TO MY HOUSE AND PAPERWORK AND THE KIDS. I WILL TRY TO CLEAN UP MORE AT THE MOMENT THAN SOME TIME I WILL GET TO IT. I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT, A FRIEND OF MINE IS GETTING MARRIED IN SEPTEMBER AND HUBBY IS IN THE WEDDING AND I, OF COURSE AM MAKING THE CAKE, ALL OF THE GIRLS HAVE DECIDED THAT WE WILL LOSE WEIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING. WE HAVE 9 MONTHS TO GO! I WILL TRY TO BE MORE PATIENT WITH MY KIDS AND NOT YELL SO MUCH AT THEM. I WILL TRY TO KEEP MY TEMPER IN CONTROL AND NOT FLY OFF THE HANDLE SO EASILY.

I was one of those that only kept mine until Feb or so. Now I have found if I write them down on paper and hang it where I will see it, it works. I hung mine on the back of my closet door, and another small sticky note size one at work in my desk drawer to remind me. It gets etched in your head if you see it over and over.
Today, so far so good, I have stoppped smoking!!!!!! Not with a sticky reminder note though. I have tried everything!!! This time I ask God to take them from me, and I meant it! And he has! My husband and I are adopting a little girl from China, hopefully this year it will happen! We will be in our 50's with a daughter in high school and one who's 30, and two others hopefully in collage icon_eek.gif So we need to take better care of us!
So if anyone out there needs to say their daily prayers, please pray for my husband, my stop smoking class from church and myself. We need and Thank You for it!!!

I resolved to stop giving everyone and their brother discounts! I am going with the "Father, mother, sister, brother" version of discounts! Also be strong and have confidence in myself.

Have a blessed new year all! thumbs_up.gif
